Last Saturday, the town of Don Benito hosted the XXII Meeting of Supporters\u2019 Clubs of the<\/strong> Federaci\u00f3n de Extremadura<\/strong><\/a>, which was held in this municipality to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the local supporters\u2019 club: the Pe\u00f1a Barcelonista Don Benito y Comarca<\/strong>. The event, long awaited by the supporters of this territory, counted with the collaboration of the Confederaci\u00f3 Mundial de Penyes.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Miguel \u00c1ngel Cruz<\/strong>, president of the Federaci\u00f3n de Extremadura, and Juan Pedro S\u00e1nchez<\/strong>, president of the PB San Benito, attended the event. Also travelling to Extremadura were Esteban Garc\u00eda<\/strong>, president of the Federaci\u00f3n de Madrid; Ximo Grifoll<\/strong>, president of the Federaci\u00f3 de les Comarques de Castell\u00f3, and Jos\u00e9 Antonio Adame<\/strong>, president of the Federaci\u00f3n de Andaluc\u00eda, Ceuta y Melilla. Throughout the day, Bar\u00e7a members and supporters were able to visit the exhibition \u201cTela de historia azulgrana\u201d (Blaugrana history fabric), by the journalist Jos\u00e9 Luis Vela<\/strong>, which shows historic FC Barcelona shirts and reviews the 124 years of the Club.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

General Assembly<\/strong><\/h6>\n\n\n\n

The day began with the general assembly of the Federation, in which reports were reviewed and the accounts were read and approved with 45 supporters\u2019 clubs attending<\/strong>. The present and future of the penyes movement<\/strong> was also discussed, as well as the projects of Aficiones Unidas, of which the Confederation is a member<\/strong>. Afterwards, at noon, the popular lunch was held in a hotel in San Benito, which hosted the rest of the day<\/strong>. During the commemoration, there was an exchange of gifts among the clubs present<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the afternoon, there was an official reception at the town hall of Don Benito, with the presence of Antonio Escudero<\/strong>, vice-president of the FC Barcelona Social Area, and Rafael Pichardo<\/strong>, member of the Social Commission of FC Barcelona. Also in attendance was Ricardo Serna<\/strong>, former Bar\u00e7a player and member of the Agrupaci\u00f3 Bar\u00e7a Jugadors. It was a full perfect day that ended with a gala dinner with more than 250 people<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
