The Penya Blaugrana de Torell\u00f3<\/strong>, which belongs to the Federaci\u00f3 de Penyes d’Osona i el Ripoll\u00e8s, dressed up last Sunday to commemorate the 50th anniversary<\/strong> of its creation. To do so, the supporters\u2019 club organised an intense day of blaugrana passion<\/strong> in their town, in which culers of all ages took part.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reception and parade<\/strong><\/h6>\n\n\n\n

The events got underway at midday with an official reception at the Torell\u00f3 Town Hall<\/strong>. Antonio Escudero<\/strong>, vice-president of FC Barcelona; Dion\u00eds Crusellas<\/strong>, president of the Federaci\u00f3 Osona i Ripoll\u00e8s; Francesc Xavier Canudas<\/strong>, president of the PB Torell\u00f3; and former Bar\u00e7a player Antonio Olmo<\/strong> were present. All of them were received by the mayor of Torell\u00f3, Mar\u00e7al Ortu\u00f1o<\/strong>, and the sports councillor, Montserrat Tort<\/strong>. After the speeches and the exchange of gifts, the protagonists signed the town hall’s Book of Honour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then, the retinue moved to the venue of the celebration with a parade that was enlivened by the Colla Gegantera i Grallera de Sant Pere de Torell\u00f3<\/strong>, and which mobilised young and old to celebrate this historic milestone of the local Bar\u00e7a supporters\u2019 club. At the end of the parade, a plaque commemorating the 50th anniversary<\/strong> was unveiled on the sculpture that the PB Torell\u00f3 has in the town.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Big final party<\/strong><\/h6>\n\n\n\n

The big celebration party was attended by more than 120 people<\/strong>, with a large presence of members of the PB Torell\u00f3, as well as 14 other penyes of the Federaci\u00f3 Osona i Ripoll\u00e8s<\/strong>. The president of the Federaci\u00f3 Giron\u00e8s, Selva, Garrotxa i Pla de l’Estany, Quim Vall-Llosera<\/strong>, also participated, as well as a representative of the PB Solera Calella (Federaci\u00f3 Maresme).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the event, the PB Torell\u00f3 paid tribute to Jaume Rovira<\/strong>, who was one of the founders of the club 50 years ago, as well as to Josep Tort and Francesc Jofre<\/strong>, two former presidents of the entity. Some anniversary souvenirs were also handed out to all the guests and gifts were raffled off. In addition, all those attending the 50th anniversary of PB Torell\u00f3 were able to see the exhibition of historic FC Barcelona shirts<\/strong>, thanks to the private collection of Carles Mir<\/strong>, a member of the PB Almog\u00e0vers Empord\u00e0 (Fed. Empord\u00e0 i Catalunya Nord).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
