Beyond the football tournaments, which are usually the highlight of the blaugrana entities, the penyes also mobilize the younger supporters through<\/strong> other sporting or recreational activities. One of them is the Pe\u00f1a Barcelonista de Orihuela<\/a><\/strong> (Federaci\u00f3 Comarques d’Alacant), which recently organized in its premises the I Chess Tournament<\/strong>, in collaboration with the Orihuela Chess Club<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

The tournament was a great success with the participation of 40 children<\/strong>, who were divided into two categories: under 12 and over 12<\/strong>. The overall winner of the tournament<\/strong>, winning in both categories, was Marcos Ruiz<\/strong>, who surprisingly was in the U-12 category. I In any case, the PB Orihuela distributed medals to all participants<\/strong>. The event was led by the president of the penya, Javi Domenech<\/strong> and his board of directors. hey all hope to hold more tournaments of this type, as the PB Orihuela stands out for its social and union events among its members<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

The PB Sant Joan Desp\u00ed promotes eSports and dominoes<\/strong><\/h6>\n\n

Another of the activities promoted by the clubs is eSports, and the Penya Barcelonista Sant Joan Desp\u00ed<\/a><\/strong> (Federaci\u00f3 Baix Llobregat) has become one of the most committed to it<\/strong>. The entity hosted its 7th tournament at the Casal de Joves El Bulevard de Sant Joan Desp\u00ed<\/strong>, an entity with which the penya barcelonista collaborates on a regular basis<\/strong>. The competition, played with the EA FC 24 video game<\/strong>, made the youngsters demonstrate their skills at the controls. The quarterly activity has been consolidated and has more and more participants<\/strong>, in which the most important role is always present: fair play <\/em> among all players.<\/p>\n\n

Recently, the PB Sant Joan Desp\u00ed also organized its 16th Domino Tournament<\/strong>, on the occasion of the local festivity<\/strong>. Ten couples participated and played against each other<\/strong>, in an activity in which a good atmosphere, sportsmanship and a good level reigned<\/strong>. The sports councilor of the City Council of Sant Joan Desp\u00ed, Francesc Vives<\/strong>, was present at the event, which ended with the award of prizes to the winners<\/strong>. All attendees were summoned to 2025 to enjoy the tournament again.<\/p>\n\n
