The Confederaci\u00f3 Mundial de Penyes del FC Barcelona, representing the blaugrana supporters\u2019 club collective, once again took part in the National Supporters\u2019 Clubs Congress of Aficiones Unidas<\/a><\/strong>, which was held for the 20th time<\/strong>. The event took place in Cadiz last weekend and was attended by more than 850 supporters from 30 federations of supporters\u2019 clubs of Spanish football clubs<\/strong>. The Federaci\u00f3n de Pe\u00f1as Cadistas <\/strong> was the organiser, together with the Junta de Andaluc\u00eda, the Diputaci\u00f3n de C\u00e1diz, C\u00e1diz City Council, C\u00e1diz CF, La Liga and Aficiones Unidas.<\/p>\n\n

Main event<\/strong><\/h6>\n\n

The main event of the National Supporters\u2019 Clubs Congress took place on Saturday at the Palacio de Congresos de C\u00e1diz<\/strong>. The welcome was given by Juan Antonio Garc\u00eda<\/strong>, president of the Federaci\u00f3n de Pe\u00f1as Cadistas; Jorge Guerrero<\/strong>, president of Aficiones Unidas; Juan Jos\u00e9 Ortiz<\/strong>, first vice-president of the Diputaci\u00f3n de C\u00e1diz; and Bruno Garc\u00eda<\/strong>, mayor of the host city. Afterwards, Marta Benito and Marta Galdeano, from La Liga, together with Aficiones Unidas, presented the balance of the actions carried out during the last season<\/strong>, as well as the projects for the next one.<\/p>\n\n

This gave way to a round table to address current football issues<\/strong>, and particularly those concerning the fans. Participants included Javier Tebas<\/strong>, president of La Liga; Manuel Vizca\u00edno<\/strong>, president of C\u00e1diz CF; and Jorge Guerrero<\/strong>. Next, the fight against violence in stadiums <\/strong> and the piracy of football audiovisual rights were some of the focuses of a new colloquium moderated by Pepe Hidalgo<\/strong>, secretary general of Aficiones Unidas.<\/p>\n\n

Finally, the round table \u201cWomen and football\u201d<\/strong>, led by journalist Alba Reinado<\/strong> and with the presence of Sheila Ib\u00e1\u00f1ez<\/strong>, captain of C\u00e1diz CF women\u2019s team; Benita Monz\u00f3n<\/strong>, the oldest member of Aficiones Unidas; and \u00c1ngela Gonz\u00e1lez<\/strong>, one of the youngest supporters at the Congress. Beatriz \u00c1lvarez<\/strong>, president of Liga F, also participated online. Various aspects of current women’s football in Spain<\/strong> were discussed, as well as the role of the supporters in its growth.<\/p>\n\n

The event ended with the presentation of the awards to the best supporters\u2019 clubs<\/strong>, and also with the announcement of the next edition of the National Supporters\u2019 Clubs Congress, the 21st, which will be held in Castell\u00f3n from 27 to 29 June 2025<\/strong>. Juan Antonio Garc\u00eda<\/strong>, president of the Federaci\u00f3n de Pe\u00f1as Cadistas, staged the handover alongside Alberto Aicart<\/strong>, president of the Federaci\u00f3n de Pe\u00f1as del CD Castell\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n

Fraternal atmosphere<\/strong><\/h6>\n\n

In addition to the Congress, the event also included other leisure, tourist and cultural activities<\/strong> for the more than 850 supporters present. In them, there was a fraternal atmosphere among all the fans<\/strong>, reflecting the values that Aficiones Unidas defends in Spanish football<\/strong>. The Nuevo Mirandilla stadium was the setting for various events, such as the exchange of gifts among the fans and a great group photo. Once again, the National Supporters\u2019 Clubs Congress of Aficiones Unidas became a stage for strengthening the union and collaboration between fans<\/strong>, thus laying the foundations for a future of greater inclusion and respect in the world of football<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n
