Two supporters’ clubs celebrated their 50th anniversary<\/strong> in style last Sunday. The Penya Barcelonista de Ripollet<\/a><\/strong> (Federaci\u00f3 Vall\u00e8s) and the Penya Barcelonista Montgr\u00ed i Comarca<\/a><\/strong> (Federaci\u00f3 Empord\u00e0 i Catalunya Nord) spent a very special day surrounded by their supporters, friends and other penyes who wanted to join them. <\/p>\n\n

Gala event in Ripollet<\/strong><\/h6>\n\n

In Ripollet, around a hundred people gathered to commemorate the half-century of blaugrana passion of the PB Ripollet<\/strong>. The event, held in a local restaurant, was attended by Antoni Guil<\/strong>, president of the Confederaci\u00f3 Mundial de Penyes and the Federaci\u00f3 de Penyes del Vall\u00e8s; Joan Gim\u00e9nez<\/strong>, president of the PB Ripollet and secretary of the Confederaci\u00f3; Jordi Costa<\/strong>, member of the FC Barcelona Social Commission; Paco Nieto<\/strong>, former football player and member of the Agrupaci\u00f3 de Jugadors; and Audie Norris<\/strong>, former Bar\u00e7a basketball player. <\/p>\n\n

The mayor of Ripollet, Luis Tirado<\/strong>, and the councillor Roger Bay\u00f3<\/strong> also took part. In addition, the president of the Federaci\u00f3 Giron\u00e8s, Selva, Garrotxa i Pla de l’Estany, Quim Vall-llosera<\/strong>, as well as entities of the Federaci\u00f3 Vall\u00e8s<\/strong> such as PB Sant Cugat, PB Montmel\u00f3, PB Ramon Llorens, PB Sabadell, PB Poblenou de La Salut, PB Mollet, PB Figar\u00f3-Montmany, PB Calderina and PB Parets accompanied the PB Ripollet in this celebration of its 50th anniversary. It was a very emotional event in which the importance of the Bar\u00e7a penyes <\/strong>and their strong roots in the territory was highlighted. <\/p>\n\n

Blaugrana party in Torroella<\/strong><\/h6>\n\n

For its part, the PB Montgr\u00ed i Comarca<\/strong> closed its 50th anniversary celebrations, which it has held throughout the year, with a big party at the Auditori Espai Ter in Torroella de Montgr\u00ed <\/strong>where more than 300 people gathered<\/strong>. The day began with a floral tribute to the plaque of the penya’s founder, Jaume Sullastres<\/strong>, followed by a visit to the exhibition commemorating the 50th anniversary of the PB Montgr\u00ed i Comarca. Afterwards, a blaugrana parade with the traditional \u201cgegants\u201d and \u201ccapgrosos\u201d<\/strong> accompanied the culer delegation to the stage of the final party. <\/p>\n\n

The events were led by the president of the PB Montgr\u00ed i Comarca, Joan Casas<\/strong>, together with his entire board of directors. Also in attendance were the vice-president of the Social Area of FC Barcelona, Antoni Escudero<\/strong>, and the member of the Agrupaci\u00f3 de Jugadors, Paco Martinez<\/strong>. The mayor of Torroella de Montgr\u00ed, Jordi Colom\u00ed<\/strong>, didn’t missed it too. In addition, other entities such as PB Palam\u00f3s, PB Bisbal de l’Empord\u00e0, PB Pals, PB Alt Empord\u00e0, PB Olot and PB Calaf joined the party, and even the PB Gabriel L\u00f3pez-Sola from St. Juery travelled from France. The performance of the Montgrins Orchestra was the finishing touch to a day that will go down in the history of the PB Montgr\u00ed i Comarca. <\/strong>.
