The Penya Barcelonista Vicen\u00e7 Piera de La R\u00e0pita<\/a><\/strong> hosted the XXXI Meeting of Penyes of the Federaci\u00f3 Terres de l\u2019Ebre<\/a> <\/strong>last Saturday. The town experienced a vibrant day of Bar\u00e7a spirit, full of activities and memories<\/strong>, with the participation of 500 supporters and representation from 42 penyes<\/strong>, most of them from the federation of Terres de l\u2019Ebre. The event also served to commemorate the 40th anniversary of PB Vicen\u00e7 Piera of La R\u00e0pita<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n

Among the guests were Ram\u00f3n Fibla<\/strong>, president of the Federaci\u00f3 de Penyes de les Terres de l\u2019Ebre; Antoni Guil<\/strong>, president of the Confederaci\u00f3 Mundial de Penyes; and Sisco Pinyol<\/strong>, representative of the Advisory Council in Terres de l\u2019Ebre. Toni Cabr\u00e9<\/strong>, president of PB Vicen\u00e7 Piera, acted as host. Other federation presidents also attended, including Vicen\u00e7 Notari<\/strong> (Federaci\u00f3 Baix Llobregat), Claudi Bosch<\/strong> (Federaci\u00f3 Lleida Sud i la Franja), and Antoni Valverde<\/strong> (Federaci\u00f3 Bages, Bergued\u00e0 i Cerdanya). Josep Seguer<\/strong>, son of the legendary blaugrana player from the 40s and 50s, was also present. <\/p>\n\n

A day full of Bar\u00e7a spirit<\/strong><\/h6>\n\n

The XXXI Meeting of Penyes of Terres de l\u2019Ebre began early at 9:00 a.m. with breakfast at the site of the PB Vicen\u00e7 Piera. From there, the first parade of the day set off, led by the Colla de Gegants of La R\u00e0pita and open to the public<\/strong>, which especially attracted the town\u2019s youngest Bar\u00e7a fans. Later, a reception was held at La R\u00e0pita Town Hall with the presence of Mayor Javier Revert\u00e9 <\/strong>and some of its councillors, who attended the signing of the city\u2019s guest book by the president of the Confederaci\u00f3 Mundial de Penyes, Antoni Guil<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n

Next, the activities moved to Pla\u00e7a 1 d\u2019Octubre, where the \u201cBatuXaic\u201d batucada group and the La R\u00e0pita Giants performed. The gala lunch was held just across the street at the Exhibition Pavilion<\/strong>, beginning with traditional speeches by the main figures. A heartfelt tribute was paid to Ram\u00f3n Fibla for his work with the Federaci\u00f3 Terres de l\u2019Ebre and PB Vicen\u00e7 Piera over the past 40 years<\/strong>. The federation\u2019s board presented him with a commemorative gift. A tribute was also paid to all founding members of the penya<\/strong>. The day concluded with the traditional hanging of ribbons for all the Bar\u00e7a supporters\u2019 clubs present. <\/p>\n\n
