After the large gatherings held in Terres de l\u2019Ebre<\/a> and Galicia <\/a>earlier in June, last weekend it was Castell\u00f3n\u2019s turn to host the 25th Meeting of FC Barcelona Penyes of the Castell\u00f3 Region<\/strong>. The event was organized by the Federaci\u00f3 de Penyes de les Comarques de Castell\u00f3<\/strong> and the PB Vora S\u00e8quia<\/a><\/strong>, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary<\/strong> this year, and brought together over 200 supporters for two days of festive atmosphere and Bar\u00e7a passion<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n

Conference \u201cEls or\u00edgens de la Simbiosi\u201d<\/strong><\/h6>\n\n

The gathering kicked off on Friday afternoon with the presentation of the conference \u201cEls or\u00edgens de la Simbiosi\u201d<\/strong>, the first part of the \u201cBar\u00e7a i Catalunya\u201d series. The hall at Hotel Luz in Castell\u00f3 was filled to hear Salva Torres<\/strong>, Vicepresident of the Confederaci\u00f3 Mundial de Penyes, and Xavier Gamper<\/strong>, grandson of FC Barcelona\u2019s founder, with Aksana Vayevoda<\/strong> handling coordination and technical aspects. Attendees learned more about the early years of FC Barcelona and its connection to Catalonia\u2019s social and political context<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n

Parade and reception at City Hall<\/strong><\/h6>\n\n

The next day, Plaza Pont i Gol welcomed the attending supporters at the XXV Meeting of Penyes of Castell\u00f3n with a popular breakfast. Then came the blaugrana parade featuring banners from the 16 participating penyes<\/strong>, accompanied by a batucada and a performance by Conlloga Muixeranga of Castell\u00f3<\/strong>. The parade marched through several streets of the city until reaching Plaza Mayor, where an official reception was held at City Hall by Vicent Sales, Councillor for Institutional Relations<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n

The Bar\u00e7a delegation included Emili Marmaneu<\/strong>, President of PB Vora S\u00e8quia; Antonio Escudero<\/strong>, Social Vice President of FC Barcelona; Juan Salvador Mart\u00ed<\/strong>, Vice President of the Federaci\u00f3 de Comarques de Castell\u00f3; and Carlos Mart\u00ednez<\/strong>, Delegate of the Advisory Council in Castell\u00f3n. Also present was a former player and member of the Agrupaci\u00f3 Bar\u00e7a Jugadors, Pere Valent\u00ed Mora<\/strong>. All of them gave speeches during the gala <\/strong>that closed the gathering, where gifts were also presented to the host penya<\/strong>. The great atmosphere and pride in the first team\u2019s achievements this season defined the entire event. <\/p>\n\n
