On the occasion of the feast of Our Lady of Mercy, patron saint of people deprived of liberty, the Pe\u00f1a Barcelonista de Totana<\/strong><\/a> (Federaci\u00f3n de Pe\u00f1as de Murcia) once again carried out a special activity for the inmates of the Murcia I Penitentiary Center<\/strong>. In this edition, the Bar\u00e7a supporters\u2019 club organized a futsal tournament, a ping-pong tournament, and a badminton tournament<\/strong>, which saw the participation of around fifty inmates in an atmosphere marked by the promotion of respect and coexistence<\/strong>. The initiative was supported by the Confederaci\u00f3 Mundial de Penyes<\/strong>, which provided Bar\u00e7a-themed gifts to the participants of the various activities. <\/p>\n\n

These sports tournaments are part of the \u201cIlusi\u00f3n Solidaria\u201d program<\/strong> that PB Totana carries out at the Murcia I Penitentiary Center and the Guillermo Miranda Social Reintegration Center. Among other activities, this solidarity project includes a futsal sports school with weekly sessions for inmates<\/strong>. As stated by Juan Carri\u00f3n<\/strong>, president of PB Totana and the Federaci\u00f3n de Pe\u00f1as de Murcia, the penya aims to promote the values associated with football and Bar\u00e7a spirit<\/strong> among a vulnerable group such as people deprived of liberty. <\/p>\n\n
