{"id":38979,"date":"2025-12-29T12:26:56","date_gmt":"2025-12-29T11:26:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/confederaciopenyes.cat\/solidarity-food-and-toy-drives-in-various-spanish-penyes\/"},"modified":"2025-12-29T12:55:10","modified_gmt":"2025-12-29T11:55:10","slug":"solidarity-food-and-toy-drives-in-various-spanish-penyes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/confederaciopenyes.cat\/en\/solidarity-food-and-toy-drives-in-various-spanish-penyes\/","title":{"rendered":"Solidarity food and toy drives in various Spanish penyes"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Solidarity actions by the supporters\u2019 clubs continue during the Christmas season, this time focused on <strong>collecting food and toys to help the most vulnerable population<\/strong> during this especially sensitive period. <strong>Blaugrana entities from across the Iberian Peninsula and also from the Canary Islands<\/strong> promoted these initiatives and encouraged their members to join forces and collect non-perishable food and new toys, which will be donated to social organizations.<\/p>\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-la-pb-sueras-i-la-pb-almansa-no-fallen-a-la-seva-tradicio\"><strong>The PB Sueras and the PB Almansa uphold their tradition<\/strong><\/h6>\n\n<p>The <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/pbsueras\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Penya Barcelonista de Sueras<\/a><\/strong> (Fed. Comarques de Castell\u00f3) demonstrated its solidarity once again by organizing <strong>a food collection as part of the Sueras Christmas Festival<\/strong>. The entity, chaired by Juan Salvador Mart\u00ed, set up a stand in the street where the food was collected, which was added to the <strong>donations made by members <\/strong>in the previous days. The PB Sueras also <strong>contributed to the toy drive organized by the Quisquella Association of Onda<\/strong>.  <\/p>\n\n<p>A little further south, in Almansa (Albacete), the <strong>IX edition of the Solidarity Day of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/pbalmansa\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Pe\u00f1a Barcelonista de Almansa<\/a><\/strong> (Fed. Castilla-La Mancha) was held and turned out to be a great success. Members of the supporters\u2019 club <strong>donated food and hygiene products<\/strong> to support <strong>the local Social Dining Hall<\/strong>, which once again expressed its gratitude for the penya&#8217;s generous contribution. --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 1024\/768;\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n<\/figure>\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-la-pb-los-culegas-de-garachico-i-la-pb-villabalter-tambe-es-mobilitzen\"><strong>The PB Los Culegas de Garachico and the PB Villabalter also get involved<\/strong><\/h6>\n\n<p>In the Federaci\u00f3n de Pe\u00f1as de las Islas Canarias, solidarity initiatives were also underway, such as the one carried out by the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/p\/Pe%C3%B1a-Barcelonista-Los-Culegas-de-Garachico-100064472061647\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Pe\u00f1a Barcelonista Los Culegas de Garachico<\/a><\/strong>. Together with the local football club, CD Gara, and the Garachico City Council, the supporters\u2019 club organized another edition of the <strong>Solidarity Youth Football Gathering<\/strong>, where a <strong>toy drive<\/strong> took place. Thanks to the penya members and the families from all participating teams (Florida, Silense, San Marcos, Icodense, Matanza, Interi\u00e1n and RCD Gara), the initiative was a resounding success and <strong>the toys collected will be donated to the Red Cross.<\/strong>  <\/p>\n\n<p>Finally, the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/pbvillabalter\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Pe\u00f1a Barcelonista Villabalter<\/a><\/strong> (Fed. Castilla y Le\u00f3n) continued with <a href=\"https:\/\/confederaciopenyes.cat\/en\/the-xvii-solidarity-christmas-of-pb-villabalter-brings-joy-to-adults-and-children-alike\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">the solidarity activities that characterize its Christmas tradition<\/a>, participating in a <strong>food collection organized by the Veterans team of C.D. Villabalter<\/strong>.
