The movement of Bar\u00e7a supporters\u2019 clubs in the regions of Alicante enjoyed its most anticipated day last Saturday in the town of Alcoy. Around 200 Bar\u00e7a fans gathered there for the 10th Meeting of Bar\u00e7a Penyes of Alicante<\/strong>, which became a day full of unity and culer spirit<\/strong>. The event was organised by the Federaci\u00f3 de Penyes de les Comarques d\u2019Alacant and the Penya Barcelonista Alcoiana<\/strong>, which celebrated its 40th anniversary. The Confederaci\u00f3 Mundial de Penyes and FC Barcelona also collaborated. <\/p>\n\n

40 years of the PB Alcoiana<\/strong><\/h6>\n\n

The Meeting began at midday with the arrival of the supporters, who represented a total of 24 supporters\u2019 clubs<\/strong> (22 from the Federaci\u00f3 d\u2019Alacant and two from the Federaci\u00f3n de Castilla-La Mancha). The headquarters of the PB Alcoiana hosted the official reception and also the opening speech, delivered by Doctor of Fine Arts and urban painting professor, Josep Sou<\/strong>. Afterwards, a commemorative plaque for the 40th anniversary of the PB Alcoiana was unveiled<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n

The president of the penya, Juan Ramon Juan<\/strong>, hosted the event together with the president of the Federaci\u00f3 de Penyes d\u2019Alacant, Francisco Baile<\/strong>, and the mayor of Alcoy, Antonio Franc\u00e9s<\/strong>. On behalf of FC Barcelona, the social vice president, Antonio Escudero<\/strong>; the president of the Agrupaci\u00f3 de Jugadors del FC Barcelona, Juan Manuel Asensi<\/strong>; and former players Jos\u00e9 Joaqu\u00edn Albadalejo, F\u00e9lix Palomares, and Ricardo Serna <\/strong>were in attendance. The president of the Federaci\u00f3n de Pe\u00f1as de Castilla-La Mancha, Daniel Peinado<\/strong>, also did not miss the event. <\/p>\n\n

Gala celebration and culer victory<\/strong><\/h6>\n\n

The 10th Meeting of Penyes of Alicante concluded with the gala celebration<\/strong>, where journalists Joan Poqu\u00ed<\/strong> (Mundo Deportivo) and Alfredo Mart\u00ednez <\/strong>(Onda Cero) joined the invited guests. Despite some protocol differences with certain members of the Club, the event unfolded in a great atmosphere, with exchanges of gifts among the Federations and participating penyes. Some attendees extended the celebration into the evening to watch the Elche\u2013Bar\u00e7a match together<\/strong>. The blaugrana victory (1-3) was the perfect ending to a day that proved that Bar\u00e7a passion is more alive than ever in the regions of Alicante<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n
