Once again, the Bar\u00e7a penyes movement has shown that it is stronger than ever in Extremadura. Last Saturday, March 21, more than 300 supporters <\/strong>from different parts of the region shared their blaugrana passion in the town of Almendralejo<\/strong> (Badajoz), on the occasion of the XIV Meeting of Bar\u00e7a Penyes of Extremadura<\/strong>. The event was organized by the Federaci\u00f3n de Pe\u00f1as Extreme\u00f1as del FC Barcelona<\/a><\/strong> and the Pe\u00f1a Barcelonista \u201cEl Pino\u201d of Almendralejo<\/strong>, with the collaboration of the Almendralejo City Council. It was an intense, activity-filled day, with a total of 48 penyes represented. <\/p>\n\n

General Assembly and visit to Almendralejo<\/strong><\/h6>\n\n

The meeting began with the General Assembly of the Federaci\u00f3n de Pe\u00f1as Extreme\u00f1as<\/strong> held at the Carolina Coronado Theatre in Almendralejo. Most of the penyes at the event took part, reviewing the federation\u2019s activity during the past year 2025: management report, accounts, and events held, among other subjects. <\/p>\n\n

Upcoming activities and projects <\/strong>were also discussed, such as the intention to organize a major trip every two years for Extremadura penyes<\/strong> to attend a match of the first football team. The morning concluded with several cultural guided tours to different points <\/strong>of interest in the town of Almendralejo for all attendees, who later shared a popular lunch. <\/p>\n\n

Institutional events<\/strong><\/h6>\n\n

In the afternoon, the most institutional part of the event took place with the official reception in the Plenary Hall of the Almendralejo City Council<\/strong>. There, the protocol speeches were delivered, gifts were exchanged, and the city\u2019s book of honour was signed. The reception was headed by Jos\u00e9 Mar\u00eda Ram\u00edrez<\/strong>, mayor of Almendralejo, together with Adoraci\u00f3n Guti\u00e9rrez<\/strong>, Secretary General for Relations with the Assembly of the Regional Government of Extremadura, and Raquel del Puerto<\/strong>, President of the Provincial Council of Badajoz. <\/p>\n\n

Representing the penyes movement were Miguel \u00c1ngel Cruz<\/strong>, president of the Federaci\u00f3n de Extermadura; Pedro S\u00e1nchez<\/strong>, president of PB \u201cEl Pino\u201d of Almendralejo; and the federation presidents Juan Salvador Mart\u00ed <\/strong>(Castell\u00f3n), Jos\u00e9 Antonio Adame <\/strong>(Andaluc\u00eda, Ceuta and Melilla), Daniel Peinado <\/strong>(Castilla-La Mancha), Salvador Cervi\u00f1o<\/strong> (Galicia) and Pablo Asensio <\/strong>(Asturias and Cantabria). Also present were Esteban Vigo<\/strong>, vice president of the Agrupaci\u00f3 Bar\u00e7a Jugadors, and Rafael Pichardo<\/strong>, member of the Club\u2019s Social Commission. <\/p>\n\n

The day concluded with the gala dinner of the XIV Meeting of Bar\u00e7a Penyes of Extremadura<\/strong>, where the 15th anniversary of the host penya<\/strong>, PB \u201cEl Pino\u201d of Almendralejo, was also celebrated. The traditional cake-cutting took place, along with speeches and the exchange of gifts among the various clubs present. It was the culmination of a very special day for all Bar\u00e7a supporters in Extremadura. <\/p>\n\n
