Maria Teresa Andreu, Marta Mestres and \u00c0frica Oca\u00f1a<\/strong>, three veteran former Bar\u00e7a femen\u00ed players<\/strong>, were the main guests at the event \u201cFrom the pioneers to the future stars of Bar\u00e7a femen\u00ed\u201d<\/strong>, organised by the ImpulSa – Dones de La Sagrera<\/strong> association in collaboration with PB Districte XXVII La Sagrera<\/a> and PB Tsunami Blaugrana<\/a><\/strong>. The event took place at Espai 30 in the Ateneu Sagrerenc, home of PB Districte XXVII La Sagrera, which was filled with attendees keen to revisit the beginnings of Bar\u00e7a femen\u00ed football <\/strong>and trace its development through to its current success. <\/p>\n\n

The event was attended by David Angulo<\/strong>, president of the Federaci\u00f3 de Penyes del Barcelon\u00e8s Est and PB Districte XXVII La Sagrera, and N\u00faria Salas<\/strong>, president of PB Tsunami Blaugrana, who moderated the discussion. Representatives of other supporters\u2019 clubs also attended, including Jordi Garcia<\/strong>, president of PB Gavanenca (Fed. Baix Llobregat). Around fifty people attended the event in total<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n

<\/p>\n\n

A journey full of obstacles, from the early days to the present<\/strong><\/h6>\n\n

The event\u2019s three guests represent different generations in the history of the Bar\u00e7a team: Maria Teresa Andreu played for Bar\u00e7a from 1971 to 1981; Marta Mestres from 1982 to 1987; and \u00c0frica Oca\u00f1a wore the blaugrana shirt from 1989 to 1998<\/strong>. During the conversation, they recalled the difficulties faced by women footballers at the time<\/strong>, including dirt pitches, a lack of resources, no pay and social prejudice against women who wanted to play football. <\/p>\n\n

The event provided an opportunity to contrast that reality with the current position of Bar\u00e7a femen\u00ed<\/strong>, which officially became part of FC Barcelona\u2019s structure in 2002 and turned professional in 2015. Thanks to the path forged by those players despite all the obstacles, the women\u2019s team has gone on to compete in major stadiums, win four Champions League titles and achieve far greater visibility than those first generations ever enjoyed<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n

At its first public event, the ImpulSa – Dones de La Sagrera association sought to honour the memory of the women who planted the seeds of Bar\u00e7a women\u2019s football<\/strong> and to highlight their legacy for present and future generations. This vision is shared by the Bar\u00e7a penyes, which have accompanied the team\u2019s development and continue to support Bar\u00e7a femen\u00ed unconditionally<\/strong>, both at the Johan Cruyff Stadium and on away trips in the Spanish league and Champions League. <\/p>\n\n
