Its <strong>XIV edition<\/strong>, postponed from 2020 due to the pandemic, took place last weekend in the town of <strong>\u00d3rgiva (Granada)<\/strong>, and proved it once again with the attendance of <strong>nearly 1,200 supporters and the representation of some 90 supporters&#8217; clubs<\/strong> over three days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Visit of Joan Laporta<\/strong><\/h6>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The XIV Congress of Penyes of Andalusia, Ceuta and Melilla got underway on Friday afternoon with the <strong>official reception, at the \u00d3rgiva Town Hall, of the FC Barcelona representation<\/strong>, headed by president <strong>Joan Laporta<\/strong> and the board members <strong>Antonio Escudero<\/strong> and <strong>Josep Ignasi Maci\u00e0<\/strong>. Here, the presence of former players <strong>Quique Estebaranz, &#8220;Boquer\u00f3n&#8221; Esteban, Juanjo Almagro<\/strong> and <strong>Audie Norris<\/strong>, who later took part in a <strong>colloquium on the Wembley &#8217;92 final<\/strong>, held at the \u00d3rgiva Institute, was a highlight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the afternoon, the <strong>working day of the XIV Congress of Penyes of Andalusia, Ceuta and Melilla<\/strong> took place, with the presence of <strong>Antoni Guil<\/strong>, president of the <strong>World Confederation of Supporters&#8217; Clubs<\/strong>, and all the supporters\u2019 clubs represented. There, the main issues concerning the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/fepebacm_penyes\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Federaci\u00f3n de Pe\u00f1as de Andaluc\u00eda, Ceuta y Melilla<\/a><\/strong>, chaired by <strong>Rafael Pichardo<\/strong>, were reviewed, and \u00dabeda was designated as the venue for the next edition of the Congress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The day ended with the <strong>gala dinner<\/strong>, with more than 500 guests who were also able to watch the broadcast of the Elche-Bar\u00e7a match. Along with Guil and the entire board of directors of the Andalusian federation, the federation presidents <strong>Miguel \u00c1ngel Cruz <\/strong>(Extremadura), <strong>Salvador Cervi\u00f1o<\/strong> (Galicia), <strong>Pablo Asensio<\/strong> (Asturias and Cantabria), and <strong>Daniel Peinado<\/strong> (Castilla-La Mancha) were also present.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Congress ended on Sunday, when the organisers offered attendees <strong>various cultural tours around the Alpujarra region<\/strong>.
