The initiatives have been of a recreational and sporting nature but have benefited charities and medical research organisations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Party by PB Monells<\/strong><\/h6>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Last Saturday, the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/pbmonells\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Penya Blaugrana Monells<\/a><\/strong> (<strong>Federaci\u00f3 Empord\u00e0 i Catalunya Nord<\/strong>) organised a <strong>charity party<\/strong> in Cor\u00e7\u00e0 to <strong>raise funds against cancer and in memory of Pitu<\/strong>, one of its members. This event, which was attended by <strong>2,000 people<\/strong> and included activities for all ages, was organised together with the initiatives <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/amicsdenpitu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">&#8220;Amics d&#8217;en Pitu&#8221;<\/a><\/strong> and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/amicsdelaina\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">&#8220;Amics de l&#8217;Aina&#8221;<\/a><\/strong>. The proceeds will go entirely to the <strong>Institute of Biomedical Research of Girona<\/strong> and the <strong>Haematology Service of the Catalan Institute of Oncology<\/strong>, which are part of the <strong>Josep Trueta Hospital<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The involvement of the PB Monells with the &#8220;Amics d&#8217;en Pitu&#8221; and &#8220;Amics de l&#8217;Aina&#8221; initiatives has been manifested in numerous actions recently. The initiative, promoted by the <strong>Alzheimer&#8217;s Family Association of Vall\u00e8s Occidental<\/strong>, consisted of a <strong>penalty shoot-out tournament<\/strong> against the goalkeepers of the penyes&#8217; grassroots football teams. All participants were entered into a <strong>draw for a FC Barcelona shirt<\/strong>. The <strong>nearly 450 euros<\/strong> raised were donated to the Alzheimer&#8217;s Family Association of Vall\u00e8s Occidental.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Along the same lines, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/penyadelbarcathessaloniki\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Penya del Bar\u00e7a Thessaloniki<\/strong><\/a> (<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/fcbworldpenyes\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">FCB World Federation<\/a><\/strong>) collaborated with supporters&#8217; clubs from other teams in their Greek town to organise a <strong>free-kick tournament<\/strong>, also with charitable overtones. The competition, divided into two categories for adults and under-16s, was open to the entire population and was a success in terms of participation.
