The Federación de Peñas Extremeñas del FC Barcelona held a new Ordinary Assembly at the end of October, which was attended by representatives of 35 FC Barcelona penyes from this region. The meeting took place in the town of Ruecas (Badajoz), on the occasion of the 12th anniversary of the local penya: the Peña Barcelonista de Ruecas. The assembly, which was held in the Culture Centre of the Town Hall, was headed by the president of the Federación de Peñas Extremeñas, Miguel Ángel Cruz, and dealt with the current affairs of the group and the main activities of the federation. The delegation was received by the mayoress of Ruecas, Manuela Tena.
During the event, the Federación de Peñas Extremeñas gave a Camp Nou seat to the journalist José Luis Vela, who has a large collection of Barça shirts that he has exhibited in several meetings of penyes. The participants in the assembly also made a visit to the headquarters of the Peña Barcelonista de Ruecas, where its president Antonio Aguilera acted as host. There, the mayoress unveiled a commemorative plaque for the 12th anniversary of the blaugrana entity.
The next assembly of the Federación de Peñas Extremeñas del FC Barcelona will take place in March 2025 in Puebla de Sancho Pérez, on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the Peña Barcelonista El Zorro Culé.
