North American supporters’ clubs enjoy the ‘Clásico’

The PB New York and the PB Garden State joined together in the pre-match, near the MetLife Stadium where Barça won 1-2 against Real Madrid

The American supporters’ clubs once again enjoyed a Clásico, this time in New Jersey. The Barcelona team once again left a good feeling in a new victory in the United States. The first team once again had the support of Penyes who did not want to miss the opportunity to see Hansi Flick’s team. Members of the PB Garden State Blaugrana, PB San Diego, PB New York and PB Toronto (FCB World Federation) were present at the MetLife Stadium. The high presence of members, supporters and Barcelona fans was evident many hours before the match kicked off.

The pre-match moments, in blaugrana color

Before the match, Penya FC Barcelona New York and Penya Garden State Blaugrana of New Jersey gathered near the stadium to jointly make a “paella tailgate” (the popular one before parking at the stadium) and then filled the stands to cheer the team. For the first time, these two penyes were able to enjoy a “Clasico” at home. In fact, the PB Garden State is located 20 minutes away from the stadium where the Real Madrid-Barcelona game was played. Once inside the stadium, the supporters were the main protagonists cheering on the team, who felt very well supported despite playing more than 6,000 km away from Barcelona.

The PB Houston Culés with Barça Genuine

The Fundació Barça Genuine team also played a summer tournament in North America. The Genuine World Cup, in which the team was proclaimed winner of the friendly tournament. The PB Houston Culés were with the team in the final and encouraged them to become champions. Another FC Barcelona team that will visit American territory is Barça Femení, which will play two friendly matches at the end of August: on the 27th in California and on the 30th in Dallas. In both matches there will be the presence of penyes to cheer on the team of Pere Romeu.
