Three Barcelona supporters clubs celebrated their respective anniversaries last weekend: the PB Monteagudo (Federación Aragón, La Rioja y Navarra), the PB Badia del Vallès (Federació Vallès) and the PB Washington DC (FCB World Federation).
In the case of the PB Monteagudo, it celebrated its 25th anniversary with two days full of activity attended by a hundred FC Barcelona fans, with ten penyes represented. In addition to the president of the PB Monteagudo, Fernando Serrano, also Josep Ignasi Macià, member of the FC Barcelona board of directors; Onésimo Sánchez, former first team player; and Javier Martín, former player of the ice hockey section, were present in the event. Also a group of guests from the La Atalaya Center in Tudela, which cares for people with disabilities, took part in the event. The delegation was received at the Monteagudo Town Hall by the mayoress, Marisa Jiménez, and the sports councilor, Iván Aguado, in a celebration that also included many cultural, touristic, gastronomic and musical activities. The PB Monteagudo had the collaboration of the Confederació Mundial de Penyes, which provided blaugrana gifts.
15 years in Badia del Vallès and Washington
The PB Badia del Vallès celebrated its 15th anniversary at the Centro Cultural Antonio Machado, with the presence of the president of the Confederació Mundial de Penyes, Antoni Guil, who accompanied the president of the PB Badia del Vallès, Lluís Yuste. FC Barcelona was also represented, with the member of the Social Area, Jordi Pueyo, and the Agrupació Barça Jugadors with the ex-player Flor de Luna. The mayor of Badia del Vallès, Josep Martínez, attended the event. Also noteworthy was the presence of supporters of the PB Sant Cugat. The celebration culminated with the blowing out of the candles of the commemorative cake.
Finally, the PB Washington gathered its members to celebrate the 15 years of history of the penya coinciding with the screening of Villarreal-Barça last Sunday. In a festive atmosphere, the supporters’ club members received a special gift and the celebration was rounded off by the team’s great match at the La Cerámica stadium.
