The Federació of Penyes Barcelonistes del Barcelonès Est recently organized the 2nd edition of its Interpenyes Padel Tournament, an initiative that once again unites FC Barcelona supporters’ club with the practice of padel. The event, which had the collaboration of the Confederació Mundial de Penyes, took place in the paddle courts of Bon Pastor, and brought together a total of 32 players representing seven penyes of Barcelonès Est: PB Can Baró, PB Congrés, PB Teixonera, PB Bon Pastor, PB Trinitat Vella, PB Sant Adrià del Besòs and PB Nova Lloreda.
The tournament, which always has a good atmosphere among all participants, had a first phase with groups of four pairs playing against each other, and then a gold category for the first two, and a silver for the last two. In the first, the pair of the PB Nova Lloreda was the winner, while the representatives of the PB Can Baró won in the second. Among the prizes were paddle rackets and paddle racks, as well as several blaugrana gifts provided by the Confederació and FC Barcelona. The event was also supported by Aigües de Barcelona and Inmocat.
The success of this 2nd Interpenyes Paddle Tournament of the Federació Barcelonès Est once again demonstrates the great acceptance that paddle tennis has among the blaugrana supporters’ clubs movement. In fact, it is one of the activities promoted by the Confederació Mundial de Penyes among its territorial federations and penyes.
