Mutual help between the penyes barcelonistes of Valencia

Members of the PB Massanassa have collaborated in the cleaning of the premises of the PB Catarroja. In addition, the campaigns for economic donations continue

The Barcelona penyes movement continues to mobilise to provide all types of aid to the people affected by the severe flooding in the Valencian Community. But of all the organisations involved, there are those who are experiencing it first hand. These are the supporters’ clubs of the Federació de València i la Marina Alta, especially those located in the towns that were hit the hardest. This is why mutual solidarity has been especially strong, with constant contact between them to find the best way to alleviate this situation.

One such show of help has recently been seen at Penya Barcelonista de Catarroja, one of the worst affected. The headquarters of the entity, which was rendered unusable due to the flood of mud, received a visit from members of the Penya Barcelonista de Massanassa with the necessary tools to help empty and clean the premises to start recovering normality. The PB Massanassa also took the opportunity to deliver hygienic material provided by the Penya Barcelonista Ribera Baixa, located very close to the most flooded area.

The donation campaign continues

On the other hand, the economic donation campaign of the Federació de Penyes de València i la Marina Alta in coordination with the Confederació Mundial de Penyes is still active and has already raised more than 13,000 euros. To collaborate, you can make a deposit to the current bank account of the federation (ES64 3159 0064 10 2989077421). The total amount of the contributions will be donated to the most relevant associations, following the indications of the supporters’ clubs in the affected region.

Similarly, the Penya Barcelonista de Mislata has also mobilised to coordinate financial aid. In this case, the Valencian entity is even counting on contributions from supporters’ clubs in the FCB World Federation. From France, PB Gabriel López-Sola St. Juéry has joined forces and has involved the PB Lorraine-Vandoeuvre and the PB Bordeaux, as well as the PB Martigny from Switzerland; all of them have collected financial donations. Others such as PB Pasaia (Fed. Euskadi) or PB Mataró (Fed. Maresme) are also contributing.
