The practice of sports, and specifically football, was once again protagonist in the penyes to close the year 2024. On the one hand, the Penya Barcelonista Els Tamarells (Federació de Penyes de les Illes Balears) organized the 2nd edition of its Futsal Christmas Tournament with a great success of participation; on the other hand, the Penya Blaugrana de Sant Cugat (Federació de Penyess del Vallès) actively participated in the Christmas Tournament of the football associations of Terrassa and Sabadell.
2nd Futsal Christmas Tournament of the PB Els Tamarells
The PB Els Tamarells gathered a total of 12 teams in its 2nd Futsal Christmas Tournament, organized by the Youth Area of the Mallorcan penya. The event took place in the Guillem Timoner Pavilion in Felanitx on December 30. The competition, divided into two age categories (+18 and -18 years), began in the morning with the group stages, which gave way to the playoffs and finals in the afternoon. Beyond the good level shown by the participating teams, the tournament was characterized by the good atmosphere and fair play among them all. The president of the PB Els Tamarells, Sebastià Oliver, was present at the tournament, which also had the collaboration of the City Council of Felanitx.
The PB Sant Cugat, in the Christmas Tournament of the football associations of Terrassa and Sabadell
In the Municipal Football Field Can Magí of Sant Cugat, the Christmas Tournament of the football associations of Terrassa and Sabadell was held on December 28th, where the PB Sant Cugat played an important role. The penya collaborated in the organization of the competition, along with the City Council of Sant Cugat and the Catalan Football Federation, and also provided players to the different categories. Specifically, matches were played in the U-9 (men), U-11 (men and women) and senior (men and women) categories. The president of the PB Sant Cugat, Josep Maria Félez, was present at the event, along with representatives of the associations of soccer clubs of Sabadell and Terrassa, the City Council of Sant Cugat and the Catalan Football Federation.
