Last weekend, two territorial federations held their ordinary assemblies to start the year 2025: the Federació de Penyes Barcelonistes del Gironès, la Selva, la Garrotxa i el Pla de l’Estany, and the Federació de Penyes Barcelonistes de les Comarques de València i la Marina Alta. In addition to dealing with current affairs in their regions and in the blaugrana universe in general, some events were planned and doubts and proposals from the penyes were answered.
The Fed. Gironès, Selva, Garrotxa i Pla de l’Estany meets in Maçanet de la Selva
Maçanet de la Selva hosted last Friday the ordinary assembly of the Federació de Penyes del Gironès, la Selva, Garrotxa i Pla de l’Estany. Hosted by the PB Maçanet de la Selva, 22 of the 24 penyes of this region were present, with a total of 60 participants. The session was led by the president of the federation, Quim Vall-llosera, and was also attended by the treasurer of the Confederació Mundial de Penyes, Vicenç Notari. Precisely, the trajectory of the Confederació from its creation to the current days was explained, and its accounts were also reviewed. In addition, the current situation of the Grada de Animació was analyzed, given that in this federation there are penyes that are part of it. The event was attended by the mayoress of Maçanet de la Selva, Natàlia Figueras, who highlighted the role of the PB Maçanet de la Selva in the town.
Ordinary Assembly of the Fed. València i Marina Alta
Also held its assembly the Federació de Penyes de València i Marina Alta, which gathered around 20 penyes of this region at its headquarters in Gandía. Led by its president, Miquel Gomis, and the vice-president of the Confederation, Salva Torres, the assembly took stock of the federation’s accounts, explained the content of the latest Plenary Meetings of the Penyes Council and reviewed current issues. It also received in a special way the presidents of the PB Massanassa and PB Catarroja, the two penyes mainly affected by the DANA. In this sense, the federation announced the donation of another 5,000 euros (in addition to the 18,000 delivered in December), which will go to the Massanassa Home for the Elderly and another entity chosen by the PB Catarroja. Finally, it was confirmed that the next Aplec de Penyes Barcelonistes de València will be held on February 15 in Denia, with a day full of activities and surprises.
