The Penya Solera Barcelonista de Calella presents awards to Pau Cubarsí and Patri Guijarro

The supporters’ club from the Maresme Federation presented the 23rd Mario Munt Memorial and the 6th Joan Juan Tresserras Memorial

The Penya Solera Barcelonista de Calella, which belongs to the Federació de Penyes del Maresme, recently held its traditional end-of-season awards ceremony: the 23rd Mario Munt Memorial and the 6th Joan Juan Tresserras Memorial. These awards, which pay tribute to two historic figures of the supporters’ club – Mario Munt, one of its founders, and Joan Juan Tresserras, a former president – recognize the most promising players from FC Barcelona’s men’s and women’s first teams.

Cubarsí and Guijarro, this year’s awardees

The 23rd Mario Munt Memorial was awarded to Pau Cubarsí, the young centre-back who, at just 18 years old, has had a spectacular season with the first team. Cubarsí joins a distinguished list of past winners including Iniesta, Bojan, Thiago, Bartra, Riqui Puig, Gavi, Marc Casadó, and Lamine Yamal. The 6th Joan Juan Tresserras Memorial went to Patri Guijarro, recognized as the standout player of the season for FC Barcelona Femení. Guijarro follows in the footsteps of stars such as Alèxia Putellas, Aitana Bonmatí, Mapi León, Marta Torrejón, and Caroline Graham Hansen.

The awards were presented by the president of the PSB de Calella, Isidre Argelés; the mayor of Calella, Marc Buch; and three of Mario Munt’s grandchildren: Adriana, Mariona and Jaume Riera Munt. Xavier Puig, board member in charge of Barça Femení, received the awards on behalf of the two winners. The event brought together dozens of supporters from PSB de Calella, joined by members of other penyes such as PB Collblanc-Torrassa, PB Pep Ventura, PB Front 532, PB Nova Lloreda, and PB Palafolls.
