The PB Minerva culminates its 25th anniversary celebrations

A hundred supporters attended the final party to celebrate this quarter of a century in an emotional and very blaugrana atmosphere

The Peña Barcelonista Minerva (Federación de Peñas de Andalucía, Ceuta y Melilla) concluded last Saturday the commemorative events of its 25th anniversary. It did so with a grand gala celebration attended by a hundred Barça supporters from the town of Nerva (Huelva), where there is a strong blaugrana passion. The headquarters of PB Minerva was the first venue of the celebration, featuring one of the most emotional moments of the day: the unveiling of a commemorative plaque marking the penya’s 25 years. The person in charge of unveiling it was the founding president of the entity, Norberto Martínez, who was specially honored by the penya as the driving force behind this organization that now celebrates a quarter-century of history.

The celebration then moved to the Salón Cobrizo, where the grand gala took place. The current president of PB Minerva, Antonio Espinosa, hosted the event, which featured the presence of former Barça player Antonio Olmo; the presidents of PB Lepe and PB Zalamea la Real, Francis Franco ‘Panque’ and Rafael Pichardo; and former presidents of PB Minerva, Hermi González and Julio Barba, along with the aforementioned Norberto Martínez. Also participating in the celebration were representatives from the Peña Sevillista El Centenario and Peña Bética El Triángulo, demonstrating the good relationship between fan bases in the town. The local club, Nerva Football Club, was also represented.
