The Penya Blaugrana of Bamako, part of the FCB World Federation, held a gathering with its members to launch the new 2025-26 season. The main activity was a friendly football match played between two teams made up of members of the Mali supporters’ club, in line with its commitment to promoting football and youth development in the country. The match took place at the Abdoul Wahab sports complex in Kalabancoro, and the final score (2-1) was the least important aspect of a day filled with joy and a great atmosphere.
PB Bamako president Mamadou Daff, along with the rest of his board members, thanked the supporters who participated in the match and highlighted the strong commitment of all penya members to spreading and promoting the passion for FC Barcelona and the values it represents in Mali. The event also included an awards ceremony recognizing outstanding supporters in various categories: best fan, fair play award, fighting spirit award, and best journalist.
Projects for the new season
During this PB Bamako supporters’ gathering, president Mamadou Daff also informed attendees about the penya’s action plan for the 2025-26 season. Initiatives include broadcasting matches via WebTV, organizing more friendly matches among supporters, blood donation campaigns, a football tournament for children aged 12–15, and meetups to watch El Clásico. Conferences and debates are also planned to discuss Barça-related news and attract more fans interested in joining the penya. Daff added that the calendar for these activities will be published at a later date.
In this way, PB Bamako continues to act as an ambassador of Barça passion in Mali, while also reaffirming its social and solidarity-based commitment to its local community. These values shared by Barça supporters’ clubs all around the world.
