The card game tournaments of the popular “botifarra” have once again been among the most attended activities at the penyes during the final weeks of summer. One of the most crowded events was held by Penya Barcelonista Fontalba of Ulldemolins (Federació Tarragona Nord), which hosted 45 pairs in the 15th edition of its Botifarra Championship and welcomed a total of 120 people throughout the day. In addition to its own members, the penya received supporters from other entities in the same federation such as PB Cambrils, PB Riudecanyes, PB Baix Camp Reus, PB Bisbal del Penedès, PB Sant Jaume dels Domenys, PB Morell, PB Serral, PB Casal Tarragona Francesc Serra, and PB Poboleda.
Players from other towns also joined the championship, including Cornudella, Vilanova de Prades, Lleida, Capafonts, Montblanc, Palma d’Ebre, Alforja, Prades, Breda, La Morera del Montsant, Poboleda, Vinaixa, Vilanova d’Escornalbou, and Aleixar. The event was attended by Josep Borrull, president of the Federació Tarragona Nord and the PB Ulldemolins; Vicens Amigó, representative of the Barça Players Association; Sergi Méndez, mayor of Ulldemolins; and Roser Morlans, sports councillor. All of them took part in the prize-giving ceremony.

Meanwhile, the Penya Barcelonista Solsona i Comarca (Federació Ponent Nord) also successfully held the 10th edition of its Botifarra Tournament. A total of 20 pairs participated in the event, which strengthened the spirit of camaraderie among members and fans from across the region during an afternoon full of good vibes. The president of PB Solsona i Comarca, Jordi Sendarrubias, led the event and the prize-giving ceremony for the top three pairs.
Finally, the Penya Blaugrana Anglès (Federació Gironès, Selva, Garrotxa i Pla de l’Estany) organized a very special day for its local community with the 5th edition of its Botifarra Championship. The event was once again held outdoors at the Can Cendra Gardens and exceeded the participation of the previous edition, which had already been a great success. The penya, led by president Jordi Casals, collaborated with the Anglès Town Council and awarded significant prizes to the winners, who emerged after a particularly thrilling final match.
