After a brief pause due to various circumstances, the Penya Barcelonista d’Arnes has resumed its activity during 2025. In the summer, the entity belonging to the Federació de Penyes de les Terres de l’Ebre had already organized a futsal tournament that symbolized this reactivation, but it was at the end of December when the supporters’ club officially celebrated this relaunch. And they wanted to do so alongside their members, the residents of the town of Arnes, and several important figures of FC Barcelona during a day filled with activities.
A day full of community and blaugrana spirit
In the morning, PB Arnes organized a hike to the summit of La Picossa, where adults and children enjoyed the natural surroundings until planting the Barça flag at the highest point of this mountain in the Terra Alta region. Afterwards, participants shared a community breakfast in Arnes’ Town Hall Square. In the afternoon, it was time for a colloquium featuring former Barça players Pere Valentí Mora and Antonio Olmo, along with journalists Pilar Calvo and Albert Blaya. In front of more than 150 attendees, they discussed the current situation of FC Barcelona, the role of penyes, and shared various personal experiences.
In the evening, the official reopening ceremony of PB Arnes took place. In addition to the speakers from the colloquium, the event was attended by Sisco Pinyol, vice-president of the Federació de les Terres de l’Ebre and member of the Advisory Council in this territory; David Pallarès and Roger Blanc, president and vice-president of PB Arnes; Josep Maria Nogués, a member of the Club’s Social Commission; and Joaquim Miralles, mayor of Arnes. A community dinner brought the full day of activities to a close, with the penyes of Tivenys, “Vicenç Piera” of La Ràpita, Móra la Nova, Roquetes and La Pobla de Massaluca also in attendance.
