The historical conference series“Barça i Catalunya”, promoted by the Confederació Mundial de Penyes del FC Barcelona, continues its itinerant journey across the territory. In the first weeks of 2026, four penyes have already offered their penyistes and local culers one of the three chapters that make up the series. In all cases, the conference was led by the vice president of the Confederació Mundial de Penyes, Salva Torres, who has been accompanied by special guests at each session, with Aksana Vayevoda in charge of the technical area.
PB Manresa and PB Les Corts complete the trilogy
The Penya Blaugrana Manresa (Federació Bages, Berguedà i Cerdanya) was the first to host the “Barça i Catalunya” series this year. The penyistes filled the premises of the Barça entity to attend the third part of the series, “Llums i ombres”, which highlights historical events between 1953 and the 1979 Cup Winners’ Cup. The president of PB Manresa, Ana Calvera, hosted a conference that featured former player Tente Sánchez as a special guest and first-hand witness of that Cup Winners’ Cup campaign.
The Penya Blaugrana de Les Corts (Federació Barcelonès Oest) also presented the third part of the series, gathering its penyistes at its headquarters to complete this historical trilogy. On this occasion, Salva Torres was joined by Ramon Alfonseda, with whom he discussed, among other topics, his experiences as a Barça player in the early 1970s. Once again, the event sparked strong interest among the penya members and culers of the Les Corts neighborhood.

Also at PB Sang Culé de Xeraco and PB L’Hospitalet de l’Infant
In the Federació de Penyes de València i la Marina Alta, the Penya Barcelonista Sang Culé de Xeraco also hosted the “Barça i Catalunya” series, in this case presenting its second part: “Temps de foscor”. The Valencian penya, which had already offered the first part of the series at the end of November, brought its members together once again to continue learning about the history of FC Barcelona. This time, the guest was Josep Seguer, son of former Barça player Josep Seguer, one of the pillars of the legendary “Cinc Copes” team. This iconic squad, along with various events from the Spanish Civil War and the postwar period, formed the core of the conference.
Finally, the Penya Barcelonista de l’Hospitalet de l’Infant (Federació Tarragona Nord) hosted the “Barça i Catalunya” series for the first time and offered its first part: “Els origens de la simbiosi”. Here, Salva Torres was accompanied by Xavier Gamper, grandson of the founder of FC Barcelona, with whom he reviewed the Club’s early years and its connection to Catalan identity. The event took place in the Sala Infant Pere and drew significant interest from attendees. Between March and April, PB L’Hospitalet de l’Infant plans to complete the trilogy by offering the second and third parts.
