Last Wednesday, during the gathering held ahead of the Joan Gamper Trophy, the site of the Confederació Mundial de Penyes hosted the presentation of the poster for the 20th Meeting of Penyes of Castilla y León. The event will take place on Saturday, 26 September, in the city of Burgos, and will commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Peña Barcelonista Tierras del Cid, which will host the day’s activities. The poster presentation was attended by Miguel García, president of the Federación de Peñas de Castilla y León, and Pedro García, president of PB Tierras del Cid, who were welcomed by Joan Camps, director of the Confederació Mundial de Penyes.
During the presentation, attendees discussed the various activities planned for the day, as well as the strength of the penyes movement in Castile and León. In addition, Pedro García presented a gift to the Confederation in recognition of its support. The event was also attended by Ramon Fibla, member of the Penyes Council and president of the Federació Terres de l’Ebre, together with all the supporters who shared the moments leading up to the Joan Gamper Trophy at the headquarters of the Confederació.
A day full of Barça spirit
The programme of events for the 20th Meeting of Penyes of Castilla y León on 26 September has already been finalised. After the welcome for all attending supporters, an institutional meeting will be held at Burgos’ Teatro Principal, followed by a welcome aperitif. The Barça delegation is then scheduled to attend an official reception at Burgos City Hall, which will lead into the fellowship lunch that will bring the day to a close.
