Penya Barcelonista Solsona i Comarca (Federació Ponent Nord) organised its 8th Extraordinary Blood Donation Campaign in collaboration with the organisation Donantes del Solsonès. For eight years now, every summer it has involved local residents in a campaign that is very well received and continues to surpass itself year after year in terms of the number of donors. On this occasion, 138 donations were made, equivalent to nearly 500 people who will be able to benefit from this collection and thereby improve their health. In addition, one person registered with the Bone Marrow Donor Registry and six people made their first donation, helping to expand the donor base and guarantee the necessary reserves for the healthcare system in a complicated month such as August. The whole day was led by the president of PB Solsona, Gerard Vilanova.
The organising entities would like to express their gratitude to all the people who took part, as well as to Uri Rosell for his collaboration in promoting the campaign through social media. They also extend their thanks to Solsona City Council for its support. Once again, Solsona has shown its commitment to life and collective health.
