The Penya Barcelonista de Tortosa (Federació de Penyes de les Terres de l’Ebre) organised its 3rd Table Football Tournament as part of the Associació Va per tu Vidal celebration, held in Tortosa Town Hall Square. The activity has already become firmly established in the Ebro town and featured a total of 40 participants: 32 in the adult category and 8 in the children’s category. In addition, a large crowd attended throughout the afternoon, underlining the strong appeal that this tournament has gained in the city of Tortosa.
The penya had the support of the Associació Futboliners Planers de Santa Bàrbara, with whom it prepared the tournament brackets that determined the knockout rounds through to the finals. The top three pairs in each category received a trophy in recognition, but beyond the winners, the friendly atmosphere among all participants stood out. The Serveis Territorials d’Esports a les Terres de l’Ebre, the Institut per al Desenvolupament de les Comarques de l’Ebre (IDECE) and Òptica Herrero also supported the tournament.
Associació Va per tu Vidal celebration
Once again, PB Tortosa’s 3rd Table Football Tournament was part of the Associació Va per tu Vidal celebration, an organisation that promotes sport, culture and solidarity in memory of the young adventurer Vidal Fusté Muñoz. In addition to the penya barcelonista’s tournament, the day included a wide range of children’s activities, entertainment shows, a concert by Jordi Évole’s group and a musical end to the celebration. Throughout the afternoon, the Associació Va per tu Vidal collected used bicycles donated in solidarity by attendees, which are later given to schools and social organisations.
