The success of the historical conferences that the Confederació Mundial de Penyes makes available to all Barça penyes will be more evident than ever this coming November. In total, there will be 10 events across different territories, highlighting the strong interest among penyes in promoting the history and values of FC Barcelona. Eight sessions will correspond to the three episodes of the “Barça i Catalunya” series, one to the “Ambaixades” conference and another to the “Llegendaris” event. All of them will be led by Salva Torres, vice-president of the Confederació Mundial de Penyes, with technical support from Askana Vayevoda and special guests depending on the occasion.
A November full of Barça history
The programme will begin on November 4 at PB Balaguer i Comarca (Fed. Ponent Nord), which will host “Barça i Catalunya: Llums i ombres”, the third episode in the series. Three days later, on November 7, PB Els Tamarells (Fed. Balears) will organise the “Llegendaris” event in tribute to Juan Seminario. Four consecutive engagements will follow: “Barça i Catalunya: Els orígens de la simbiosi” will arrive at PB El Vendrell i Baix Penedès (Fed. Tarragona Nord) on November 12 and at PB Vilafranca del Penedès (Fed. Anoia, Alt Penedès i Garraf) on November 13; “Ambaixades” will be presented at PB Cehegín (Fed. Murcia) on November 14, as part of the Trobada de Penyes de Múrcia; and finally, “Barça i Catalunya: Els orígens de la simbiosi” will be held at PB Gata (Fed. València i Marina Alta) on November 15.
The second half of the month will continue with new engagements at PB Cambrils (Fed. Tarragona Nord), where “Barça i Catalunya: Temps de foscor” will arrive on November 19, and at PB Pedreguer (Fed. Alacant), which will host “Barça i Catalunya: Llums i ombres” on November 21. The final stretch will begin on November 27 in Figueres, where PB Alt Empordà (Fed. Empordà i Catalunya Nord) will organise another session of “Barça i Catalunya: Llums i ombres”, and conclude on November 28 in Palafolls, where PB Josep Suñol i Garriga (Fed. Maresme) will close the month with “Barça i Catalunya: Els orígens de la simbiosi”.
The penyes’ commitment to our history
This busy conference schedule demonstrates the commitment of the federations and penyes to promoting the history of FC Barcelona and its penyes. The “Barça i Catalunya” series explores different periods in FC Barcelona’s history, placing them in the social and political context of Catalonia at the time; “Ambaixades” focuses on the more than century-long history of the Barça penyes movement; and “Llegendaris” highlights and gives a voice to major figures in Barça history. The entire programme is promoted by the Confederació Mundial de Penyes and led by its vice-president, Salva Torres.
