Galicia and the Terres de l’Ebre will be two major Barça hubs next weekend. Both territories will host their respective penyes meetings, and curiously they will also share the same edition: on the one hand, the XXXI Xuntanza de Peñas Barcelonistas Galegas, which will take place in Boiro; and on the other, the 31st Meeting of Penyes Barcelonistes of Terres de l’Ebre, which will be held in La Ràpita.
XXXI Xuntanza
The presentation of the XXXI Xuntanza de Peñas, organised by the Federación de Peñas Galegas and the Peña Barcelonista do Barbanza, took place recently in Boiro. The event will count with a high presence of penyes from the Galician territory, as well as representatives of the Federations of Extremadura; Asturias y Cantabria; and Andalusia, Ceuta y Melilla. The Federación de Peñas Celtistas will also be present one more year. On behalf of the Club, the vice-president Antonio Escudero will attend.
The acts will begin on Saturday afternoon with the reception of guests and authorities, and will end on Sunday with a great fraternal meal. In addition to various institutional events, the agenda will include: the ‘Ambaixades’ conference on the history of the supporters’ clubs, given by Salva Torres and Xavier Gamper; a round table with the presence of Eusebio Sacristán and Ricardo Serna; a parade of banners through the streets of Boiro; and the presentation of the Barça-Galicia 2025 awards.
31st Meeting of Terres de l’Ebre
This Saturday, the more than 30 supporters’ clubs of the Federació de Terres de l’Ebre will also live a very special day on the occasion of the 31st Meeting of Penyes of Terres de l’Ebre. It will be in La Ràpita, coinciding with the 40th anniversary of the Penya Barcelonista Vicenç Piera from the same town. The event will start at 9.30 am in front of the social premises of the penya, and will continue with the traditional parade with the ‘gegants’ and the institutional reception at the Town Hall of La Ràpita. The event will end with a gala lunch at the Pavelló Firal.
More than 400 people are expected to attend the event, which will bring Barça colours to the streets of La Ràpita. The day will be attended by Antoni Guil, president of the Confederació Mundial de Penyes, as well as Ramón Fibla, president of the Federació Terres de l’Ebre and the PB Vicenç Piera, and Sisco Pinyol, delegate of the Advisory Council in Terres de l’Ebre.
