Anniversary celebrations at PB Almansa and PB El Balón de El Ejido

The penya from Castilla-La Mancha reached 55 years of history, while the Almería-based entity celebrated 34 years of existence. Both marked the occasion together with their members

The Peña Barcelonista de Almansa (Federación de Peñas Barcelonistas de Castilla-La Mancha) began the celebrations of its 55th anniversary by organising a dinner at the penya headquarters. The event was attended by many members, who shared a festive and emotional evening. It is also worth highlighting the presence of local penyes of Real Madrid, Atlético de Madrid and Athletic Club, with whom gifts were exchanged in a clear display of harmony between different supporters.

During his speech, the president of PB Almansa, Jesús Parra, thanked all those in attendance and paid an emotional tribute to one of the penya members, who passed away just a few hours before the event. The PB Almansa will continue commemorating its 55th anniversary throughout the year, with an official celebration scheduled for the autumn.

Celebration and tribute at PB El Balón de El Ejido

At the end of March, the Peña Barcelonista El Balón de El Ejido (Federación de Peñas de Andalucía, Ceuta y Melilla) also held a celebration to mark the 34th anniversary of the entity. The event took place at the Hotel Victoria in El Ejido and was headed over by Gabriel Hidalgo, president of PB El Balón de El Ejido, alongside vice-president Eugenio González. Also in attendance were Antonio García, vice-president of the Federación de Peñas de Andalucía, Ceuta y Melilla; Modesto Lucas and Francisco Robles, president and secretary of the Federación de Peñas Barcelonistas de Almería, as well as representatives from PB Dalías, PB Santa María del Águila and PB Berja. Nearly one hundred people attended the event.

During the celebration, a raffle of shirts was held among the members of PB El Balón de El Ejido, and gifts were distributed to all attendees. In the closing speeches, president Gabriel Hidalgo thanked all guests for their presence and paid tribute to two penya members who have recently passed away. A live musical performance brought the celebration to a close, rounding off an event full of blaugrana spirit.
