At the Peña Barcelonista Villabalter, the festival of San Isidro means a leading role for the youngest. Once again this year, the León-based penya had an intense weekend with the celebration of the XXI edition of its Drawing and Painting Competition, as well as the XIV edition of the 3-a-side Football Exhibition “Josep Maria Profitós” in the U-7 and U-9 categories. Both activities have the collaboration of the Federación de Peñas de Castilla y León, the Confederació Mundial de Penyes and the City Council of San Andrés del Rabanedo, a municipality where the initiatives of the PB Villabalter are already a tradition within the programme of the San Isidro Festivities.
XXI Drawing and Painting Competition
On Friday, more than twenty girls and boys showed their artistic skills in the XXI Drawing and Painting Competition of the PB Villabalter, whose theme was the 125th anniversary of FC Barcelona. All the participants, divided into children’s and junior categories, received FC Barcelona gifts, and gift cards were also given to the winners. The jury was formed by the president of the PB Villabalter, Jorge Moreno, together with the board members Recaredo Fernández, Julio Alonso, Fernando Barazon and David Moreno. Beyond the prizes, the competition seeks to encourage the creativity of the youngsters and at the same time to promote Barça passion among the new generations.

XIV 3-a-side Football Exhibition “Josep Maria Profitós”
On Saturday, it was the turn of the XIV 3-a-side Football Exhibition “Josep Maria Profitós” of the PB Villabalter, played by six mixed teams divided into U-7 and U-9 categories. With the aim of encouraging a passion for sport among youngsters, the tournament took place once again this year in an inclusive and friendly atmosphere. In addition to the trophies for the winners and finalists in each category, blaugrana gifts were given to all the participants. This tournament pays tribute to the figure of Josep Maria Profitós, an outstanding member of the FC Barcelona penyes movement and a great promoter of grassroots football, with whom the PB Villabalter had a very close relationship.
