Exhibition by PB Cabrera de Mar to review its 30-year history

The penya from the Federació Maresme has honored the legacy of its founders and launched a new stage with renewed energy

Last weekend, the Penya Barcelonista de Cabrera de Mar (Federació de Penyes del Maresme) presented the photographic exhibition “30 Years Building a Penya”, as part of the town’s Winter Festival. Displayed at the Can Benet venue, with the collaboration of the Cabrera de Mar Town Council, this exhibition offered a look back at three decades of history through various events and activities, trips to matches, participation in World Penyes Gatherings, as well as memories shared with players and Club executives. In short, it was a showcase of the great Barça passion lived at PB Cabrera de Mar.

Tribute to the founders and beginning of a new chapter

The exhibition also served as a tribute to Jaume Tomàs, who has been president of the penya for these 30 years, as well as to the other founders and board members who have been part of the organization. Many of them attended the opening event, held on Saturday morning, which featured the presence of the current president of PB Cabrera de Mar, Marc Mora, and the mayor of Cabrera de Mar, Òscar Fernández. The exhibition was supported by the Confederació Mundial de Penyes, which contributed the La Liga trophy, and it drew a large number of visitors throughout the weekend.

The event also marked the beginning of a new chapter for PB Cabrera de Mar. Led by Marc Mora, a new board has taken up the legacy of these 30 years with renewed energy to continue revitalizing and modernizing the organization. Throughout the year, the penya will update its membership records and present new activities to continue being the benchmark of Barça passion in its municipality.
