Marxa Culer by PB London to celebrate its 40th anniversary

Members of the supporters’ club toured iconic London landmarks following two different routes of 14 and 29 kilometers

Last Sunday, July 20, the streets of London once again witnessed the blaugrana passion of the penyes, even without a match taking place. The reason was the Penya Blaugrana London (FCB World Federation), which, as part of its 40th anniversary activity program, held its Marxa Culer London. This initiative was inspired by the culer walk to Montserrat for FC Barcelona’s 125th anniversary, but the penya adapted it to the UK capital.

A family-friendly and Barça atmosphere

The event was free and open to members of the blaugrana community, and offered two different routes: a short one of 14 kilometers and a longer one of 29 kilometers. The latter started at Wembley Stadium at 9 a.m., while the shorter route began at Stamford Bridge. Both routes converged there, where more than 30 culers gathered to take part in the march. Although they couldn’t avoid the typical London rain at times, the walk passed through iconic London landmarks in a relaxed, festive, and very family-friendly atmosphere, with participants of all ages.

The PB London coordinated a series of stops along the route, thanks to the help of some volunteers, and the group concluded their journey at Kick Bar Shoreditch, the current headquarters of the London supporters’ club. There, medals and personalized certificates were handed out to all participants of the Marxa Culer, who enjoyed a very special day once again dying the streets of their city blaugrana.
