After their great mobilization on the occasion of the men’s team’s preseason tour, the North American supporters’ clubs were once again the protagonists during the Barça women’s team’s recent stay in the United States. The supporters’ clubs didn’t miss their chance to be close to the Barça stars, who this year will be coached by Pere Romeu.
In the first match against Bay FC, played in San Jose, the Blaugrana women’s football team feasted on goals with a 2-5 victory, and did so with the presence in the stands of Penya Blaugrana Los Angeles, Penya Barcelonista San Francisco and Penya Blaugrana Fresno (Federación Mundo). In addition, prior to the match, all of them enjoyed a festive get-together in the vicinity of the Earthquakes Stadium.
The second match, played at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas, was attended by the Penya Barça Dallas. Its members enjoyed the 6-0 win over Dallas Trinity, and the day before the game, they were able to attend the team’s training session and meet the players. Thus, for yet another year, the U.S. supporters clubs have taken advantage of Barça tours to intensify their support for Barcelona and celebrate the successes of the blaugranas teams.
