PB Breda and PB Santpedor promote physical activity for all ages

Once again, Breda’s “Crematorrons” was a great success with 350 participants, while the Santpedor School Cross became further consolidated among the students of the municipality

The involvement of the FC Barcelona supporter clubs in their local communities translates into the organization or collaboration in popular activities that not only involve club members, but also many other people from their regions. Among these initiatives, sports practice plays an important role, and two clear examples have recently been seen, led by the Penya Barcelonista de Breda (Federació Gironès, La Selva, Garrotxa i Pla de l’Estany) and Penya Blaugrana Santpedor (Federació Bages, Berguedà i Cerdanya).

350 people in PB Breda’s “Crematorrons”

PB Breda has turned its “Crematorrons” into a well‑established tradition in the region. This race, always scheduled at the beginning of January, helps leave the Christmas holidays behind and promotes mountain exercise to start the year in great shape. Once again, the event registered high participation numbers, with a total of 350 registered participants, who could choose between the short route (12 km) or the long route (22 km), either running or walking. A format suitable for all ages.

As usual, in addition to organizing the entire route, members of PB Breda also provided refreshments for all “Crematorrons” participants. Moreover, the supporters’ club raffled off all kinds of gifts among the runners. Once again, the Barça supporters’ group benefited from the collaboration of the Breda Town Council and the Consell Comarcal de La Selva, as well as various local businesses. All participants are already looking forward to next year’s edition.

La PB Santpedor participa un any més al Cros Escolar

For its part, and as is customary, PB Santpedor participated in the organization of the 28th School Cross in the town, organized by the Santpedor Town Council and the Consell Esportiu del Bages. The event brought together nearly 400 boys and girls from across the county, born between 2010 and 2022, who took part in a total of 17 races across different categories. There was also a 2,000‑meter fun run, as well as the 5,000‑meter event, a novelty introduced last year and reserved for participants over 16 years old.

Once again, members of PB Santpedor, led by their president Antoni Valverde (who is also president of the Federació Bages, Berguedà i Cerdanya), contributed to the initiative by adding the blaugrana touch and distributing Barça gifts to all participants. In this way, the supporters’ club continues to promote sport and healthy habits among young people in its region.
