PB Els Tamarells resumes its cultural activity

The supporters’ club has organized a tribute to the Coral de Felanitx for its 50th anniversary and the presentation of the book “Tots els motius de l’èxtasi”, with great attendance at both events

After a break during the Christmas holidays, the Penya Barcelonista Els Tamarells (Federació Penyes Illes Balears) has resumed its schedule of events organized by the entity’s Cultural Area. In recent years, the Felanitx supporters’ club hasstood out for its role as a cultural driving force in the town, and everything suggests that 2026 will be no exception. So far, PB Els Tamarells has held two events in which singing and literature have taken the spotlight.

Tribute to the Coral de Felanitx for its 50th anniversary

The act that opened PB Els Tamarells’ cultural agenda was a tribute to the Coral de Felanitx, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. The supporters’ club headquarters filled up for a highly emotional evening, a clear sign of the municipality’s recognition of this historic musical group. The member Bartomeu Mestre “Balutxo” hosted the event, which featured contributions from Pere Estelrich Massutí, music disseminator; Margalida Massutí, director of the Coral de Felanitx; Magdalena Bennàsar, singer and curator of the 50th‑anniversary exhibition; and Bárbara Sagrera, secretary of the board. All of them shared experiences that highlighted the choir’s trajectory and cultural significance.

As a gesture of appreciation for the tribute offered by the supporters’ club, the Coral de Felanitx delighted attendees with a splendid performance of the FC Barcelona anthem. Afterwards, the president of PB Els Tamarells, Sebastià Oliver, presented the choir members with a commemorative gift: a handcrafted ceramic piece made by Ceràmiques Mallorca, which was received with great emotion by the choir’s representatives.

Presentation of the book “Tots els motius de l’èxtasi”

One week later, the supporters’ club headquarters once again reached full capacity to host the presentation of the latest literary work by poet and club member Pere Suau. The author presented “Tots els motius de l’èxtasi”, the Catalan version of the work of Hafez of Shiraz, the most legendary figure of Persian poetry. The presentation was led by writer—and good friend of Pere Suau—Josep Pizà. On this occasion, PB Els Tamarells paired the literary event with a wine tasting for all attendees, featuring wines from the Dalt Turó winery in Campos, accompanied by various pâtés.

The event was a great success in terms of participation and once again reflects PB Els Tamarells commitment to local culture and gastronomy. In the coming weeks, the Cultural Area of the Mallorcan supporters’ club already has more events of this kind scheduled, with the aim of continuing to bring local culture closer to its members and further strengthening its Barça‑supporting community.
