As is customary at this month, the Penya Barcelonista Foment Martinenc (Federació Barcelonès Est) once again experienced one of its most special days of the year. The Barça supporters’ club gathered more than a hundred people at its venue for an event that included the celebration of its 70th anniversary and the awards ceremony of the IX Literary Contest of Barça short stories, organized annually by the penya.
70th anniversary with distinguished guests
The 70th anniversary celebration featured many guests, with PB Foment Martinenc president Àngel Pérez acting as host. Attendees included Francesc Subirats, president of the Federació Barcelonès Est; Gaietà Garcia, president of the Federació Barcelonès Oest; Jordi Casals, president of Barça Atlètic; and Pere Valentí Mora and Jordi Ferrón, members of the Agrupació Barça Jugadors. On an institutional level, participants included David Escudé, Barcelona City Council Sports Commissioner; Daniel Calvo, Sports Councillor for the Sant Martí District and Councillor for Clot and Camp de l’Arpa; and Alejandro López, advisor to the Sports Department and Councillor for the Sant Martí District.
Also present were Joan Ramón Bernardo, president of Foment Martinenc; Salvador Franco, president of CE Júpiter; Xavier González, leader of the “Improve Camp de l’Arpa” platform; and journalists Jordi Martí, Esther Fega, and Sergi Ninou. In addition, representatives from 16 other penyes from various federations joined PB Foment Martinenc on this special day. The celebration included lunch, speeches, a commemorative cake, gift presentations, and a comedy performance.




Awards of the IX Literary Contest
The second part of the event highlighted the winners of the IX Literary Contest of Barça stories organized by PB Foment Martinenc. This year, the first prize went to Antoni Blanchart, former president of PB Les Corts; the second to Xavier Orts, president of PB Cotlliure; and the third to Cèlia Roca. The award for the best story by a penya member was given to Núria Anna Salas, president of PB Tsunami Blaugrana. Additionally, the PB Foment Martinenc recognized Martina Toyos, designer of the commemorative magazine for the 70th anniversary. Prizes were also awarded to winners of other social activities such as the XIV Domino Championship, the IV Petanque Championship, and the I Rummikub Championship.
Comedian Javi Giménez closed an event that once again filled PB Foment Martinenc’s venue with Blaugrana passion and festive spirit. A clear demonstration that the supporters’ club remains more active than ever after seven decades of history and faces the future full of vitality.
