The Peña Rincón del Barça in Mexico (FCB World Federation) recently participated in the Penyes Tournament organized by LaLiga in Mexico City. The members of the Barça supporters’ club delivered a stellar performance and were crowned champions of this competition, which highlights the passion for Spanish football in the Central American country. Specifically, the PB Rincón del Barça in Mexico team faced the penyes of Sevilla, Betis, and Real Madrid in the first phase, achieving a clean sweep of victories that led them to the grand final against the Sporting de Gijón supporters’ club. After their triumph, the supporters lifted the champions’ trophy, along with awards for the best player and best goalkeeper of the tournament.

Meanwhile, the Penya Blaugrana de Toronto (FCB World Federation) took part in a European Penyes Tournament held in their city. The competition was promoted by the PSG supporters’ club and also featured the Canadian supporters’ clubs of Real Madrid and Manchester United. In this case, the blaugrana team reached the final after defeating the “madridistas”, but couldn’t overcome the “Red Devils” and ended up as runners-up. In any case, the event helped strengthen ties between the various supporters’ clubs in Toronto and reinforce the football community in the city. PB Toronto hopes to host more tournaments of this kind in the future.
