The Penya Blaugrana Shanghai has once again demonstrated the spirit of solidarity that defines the penyes movement around the world. On the occasion of the upcoming Children’s Day, which in China is celebrated on 1 June, several members of the penya visited a children’s hospital in Shanghai to deliver a batch of food for the young patients of the health centre. This donation was possible thanks to the contributions made by the members of the supporters’ club, which will help to alleviate the situation of the children in the hospital. PB Shanghai has been collaborating with this children’s centre for 9 years now, visiting it twice a year.
This solidarity action is in addition to the one that the Chinese penya carried out in mid-April, in this case aimed at the elderly. Then, the members of PB Shanghai visited a local hospital in their city to share a few moments with elderly patients. On that occasion, they handed out milk cartons and talked to them about Barça and the supporters’ club activities.

Unconditional in away trips
In addition to this clear vocation of solidarity, the PB Shanghai has become one of the most active penyes in terms of cheering on the Barça first team. This season, the members of the PB Shanghai have been present at practically every Champions League trip, as well as at several away matches in La Liga. They have also been a regular presence at the Estadi Lluis Companys to support the team during this great season. It is also worth highlighting the links that PB Shanghai has established with many other penyes around the world.
