PB Tampico Madero contributes to beach clean-up in Mexico

It joined forces with the Peña Madridista Ciudad de México and the organization Somos+Decididos to clean up the Miramar beach

The Peña Azulgrana Tampico Madero (Mexico) once again demonstrated its social commitment to its community by getting involved in a new environmental initiative. Several members of the blaugrana entity travelled to Miramar beach, in the Gulf of Mexico, to participate as volunteers in a clean-up action that they shared with the Peña Madridista Ciudad de México. This initiative, promoted by the environmental organization Somos +Decididos and the financial company Providente, demonstrated that the rivalry between fans is completely set aside when it comes to helping to clean up the natural environment, in this case the Miramar beach.

Together with the members of the Real Madrid supporters’ club, the volunteers of the PB Tampico Madero spent the day collecting waste from the beach, which is two kilometres long on the east coast of Mexico. The supporters proudly wore their colours and were satisfied with the work done, which will contribute to improving the environment in their region.

Spirit of solidarity all year round

This action demonstrates a spirit of commitment and solidarity that the Peña Azulgrana Tampico Madero has already shown on several occasions. During the Christmas holidays, the Mexican penya collected funds to help the neediest population, and shortly before also took part in the Teletón initiative, contributing funds to help children with disabilities, cancer and autism. Previously, they had also organised a charity auction in which they donated to a dog rescue and adoption initiative.
