PB Tegucigalpa shows solidarity with children

The Honduran supporters’ club visited a rehabilitation centre for burn victims to spend a day doing activities with the youngest patients

The Penya Barcelonista Hondureña de Tegucigalpa commemorated Children’s Day, which is celebrated in Honduras on September 10, with a solidarity initiative aimed at bringing smiles to the children who need it most. Several members of the penya visited the Crisaq Burn Rehabilitation Center, a private foundation in Tegucigalpa that treats people who have suffered burn injuries, and spent a very special day with the children undergoing treatment. The PB Tegucigalpa members organized various activities for the little ones, such as a piñata game with a blaugrana theme, among others, and also handed out gifts. Additionally, the supporters brought cakes and sweets for the boys and girls at the center.

This initiative by PB Tegucigalpa supported Crisaq’s mission to ease the rehabilitation process for young burn patients and to accompany them in their recovery in the best possible way. The Honduran Barça supporters’ club, which has a 10-year history and was officially recognized at the end of last July, demonstrated that it shares and promotes the values of solidarity and social commitment that define the Barça penyes movement around the world. In the future, the PB Tegucigalpa plans more actions to strengthen the sense of community in its region.
