Penyes bring the blaugrana spirit back to the National Day of Catalonia

Barça supporter’s clubs from all regions actively took part in floral offerings and other events during the Diada.

Once again, Barça supporters’ clubs demonstrated the strong bond between blaugrana passion and Catalan identity during the National Day of Catalonia. The Confederació Mundial de Penyes, along with various regional federations and local penyes, participated in the celebrations and played a prominent role in the commemorative events held across Catalonia. Thanks to the penyes movement, this important day for the Catalan people once again featured a blaugrana touch.

In Barcelona, the Fossar de les Moreres was once again the chosen venue for penyes such as PB Almogàvers, PB Nostra Ensenya, and PB Sang Culé. The latter had its own stand where it offered materials and information about the supporters’ club. Despite heavy rain at times, the presence of supporters at this symbolic location remained strong.

Across Catalonia, and also outside

Barça penyes were present at floral offerings throughout Catalonia. This included PB Sant Adrià de Besòs (Fed. Barcelonès Est); PB Sant Andreu de la Barca, PB Castellbisbal, and PB Sant Esteve Sesrovires (Fed. Baix Llobregat); PB Sant Cugat, PB Jove Cerdanyola, PB Parets del Vallès, and PB Ripollet (Fed. Vallès); PB Santpedor and PB Sallent (Fed. Bages, Berguedà i Cerdanya); PB Plana de Vic (Fed. Osona i Ripollès); PB Almogàvers Empordà (Fed. Empordà i Catalunya Nord); PB Breda and PB Girona (Fed. Gironès, Selva, Garrotxa i Pla de l’Estany); PB Agramunt and PB Isona i Conca Dellà (Fed. Ponent Nord); PB Avi Xaxu and PB Tordera (Fed. Maresme); and PB L’Ametlla de Mar, PB El Perelló, and PB Lligallos (Fed. Terres de l’Ebre), among many others.

Outside Catalonia, penyes from the FCB World Federation also celebrated the Diada, aware of the deep connection between Barça and Catalan identity. Notably, the PB Dakar took part in a commemorative event in the Senegalese capital, organized by the Delegation of the Government of Catalonia in West Africa. This is yet another example of the global supporters’ clubs’ sensitivity to the Catalan sentiment that is deeply rooted in FC Barcelona.
