The deep-rootedness of the FC Barcelona supporters’ clubs in their localities has once again been evident at various fairs and exhibitions held in different parts of the country over the last few days. In all of them, the FC Barcelona penyes have worn their colors, opened their doors to all visitors interested in learning more about their activities and, in some cases, have also raffled gifts of all kinds related to FC Barcelona. For these fairs, the supporters’ clubs have had the support of the Confederació Mundial de Penyes and their respective territorial Federations.
Activities in Benissa and culer “female giant” in Sant Adrià de Besòs
In the III Fair of Associations of Benissa, the Penya Barcelonista Benissa Avi Joan Casals (Federació València i Marina Alta), which began the celebrations of its 30th birthday, had a special role. In its stand, the penya organized children’s activities such as inflatable soccer or a mural to paint, as well as a photocall and an audiovisual contest. It also raffled Barça gifts and paid tribute to Avi del Barça, after whom the supporters’ club is named, by projecting several images of him.
For its part, the Penya Barcelonista de Sant Adrià de Besòs (Federació Barcelonès Est) was present at the XIII Fair of Entities of its locality with its own stand where it offered information about the entity. The presence of “Noni”, the first “female giant” of Barça, who became one of the attractions of the event, stood out. In addition, the “Noni” was also the protagonist of a Barça parade through Sant Adrià de Besòs that delighted the youngest.
Protagonism in Santpedor and Mataró
The Penya Blaugrana de Santpedor (Federació Bages, Berguedà i Cerdanya) was another of the supporters’ clubs that took to the streets, in this case to participate once again in the San Miquel Fair in its town. Led by Antoni Valverde, president of the penya and also of the Federació Bages, Berguedà i Cerdanya, the PB Santpedor stand encouraged visitors to the fair to become members, and raffled a Barça jersey among all the new members.
Finally, the Penya Barcelonista de Mataró (Federació Maresme) dyed in blaugrana the local Entities Fair with a colorful stand. In addition to selling its products, like flags or scarves, the penya chaired by Ramon Pruna, who also chairs the Federació Maresme, reported on their bus trips to Barça matches. In addition, it offered fair attendees the opportunity to have their photo taken with the Champions League trophy.
