Pepe Hidalgo, a member of the Villarreal CF Supporters’ Club Association, has been elected the new president of Aficiones Unidas after securing 26 out of 31 possible endorsements (84%) from the federations of penyes that make up the organization. This strong backing allows Hidalgo to confidently lead the entity over the next four years. With a solid track record as president of the Villarreal CF Supporters’ Club Association and as general secretary of Aficiones Unidas, Pepe Hidalgo begins a new chapter in which he will combine his experience with a renewed project to ensure the organization’s future.
Aficiones Unidas, fundada el 1999, és una entitat que agrupa les federacions de penyes dels principals clubs del futbol espanyol de LaLiga EA Sports, LaLiga Hypermotion, 1a RFEF i 2a RFEF. L’organització treballa per posar l’aficionat al centre, promovent valors esportius, convivència i respecte, i actuant com a interlocutor davant les institucions del futbol nacional i internacional. La Confederació Mundial de Penyes del FC Barcelona forma part d’Aficiones Unidas des de la seva creació, l’any 2015, amb l’objectiu de defensar els interessos dels socis i penyistes barcelonistes davant d’institucions com La Liga.
