The Penya Blaugrana de Dakar (FCB Wold Penyes) has once again demonstrated its commitment to solidarity, focusing on the most vulnerable populations in its region. The Senegalese organization carried out the second edition of its initiative to distribute school supplies to children from disadvantaged families, this time at the Ameth Sow Primary School of Thiaroye Azur, located in the eastern part of Dakar. There, the children received packages containing backpacks, notebooks, textbooks, pens, and other materials needed for the school year. The delivery was carried out by members of PB Dakar themselves, who were welcomed by local authorities such as the mayor and the academic inspector, as well as some of the students’ parents.
This second donation of school supplies by PB Dakar was made possible once again thanks to the generous contributions of Senegalese supporters. Last year, the penya carried out this initiative at the SOS Children’s Villages center in their city, which supports and advises families at risk, with a special focus on the well-being of children. At the end of last March, PB Dakar also showed its solidarity during Ramadan by distributing food packages to people in need to help celebrate the breaking of the daytime fast.
