Solidarity actions by the supporters’ clubs continue during the Christmas season, this time focused on collecting food and toys to help the most vulnerable population during this especially sensitive period. Blaugrana entities from across the Iberian Peninsula and also from the Canary Islands promoted these initiatives and encouraged their members to join forces and collect non-perishable food and new toys, which will be donated to social organizations.
The PB Sueras and the PB Almansa uphold their tradition
The Penya Barcelonista de Sueras (Fed. Comarques de Castelló) demonstrated its solidarity once again by organizing a food collection as part of the Sueras Christmas Festival. The entity, chaired by Juan Salvador Martí, set up a stand in the street where the food was collected, which was added to the donations made by members in the previous days. The PB Sueras also contributed to the toy drive organized by the Quisquella Association of Onda.
A little further south, in Almansa (Albacete), the IX edition of the Solidarity Day of the Peña Barcelonista de Almansa (Fed. Castilla-La Mancha) was held and turned out to be a great success. Members of the supporters’ club donated food and hygiene products to support the local Social Dining Hall, which once again expressed its gratitude for the penya’s generous contribution. As in previous years, the Solidarity Day of PB Almansa combined a festive atmosphere with a strong sense of charity.

The PB Los Culegas de Garachico and the PB Villabalter also get involved
In the Federación de Peñas de las Islas Canarias, solidarity initiatives were also underway, such as the one carried out by the Peña Barcelonista Los Culegas de Garachico. Together with the local football club, CD Gara, and the Garachico City Council, the supporters’ club organized another edition of the Solidarity Youth Football Gathering, where a toy drive took place. Thanks to the penya members and the families from all participating teams (Florida, Silense, San Marcos, Icodense, Matanza, Interián and RCD Gara), the initiative was a resounding success and the toys collected will be donated to the Red Cross.
Finally, the Peña Barcelonista Villabalter (Fed. Castilla y León) continued with the solidarity activities that characterize its Christmas tradition, participating in a food collection organized by the Veterans team of C.D. Villabalter. The action took place during halftime of a charity match between this team and Veterans U.V.A., and all food collected will be donated to the Food Bank for distribution among those most in need.
