The 7th Extraordinary Blood Donation Campaign, organized by the Penya Barcelonista Solsona i Comarca (Federació Ponent Nord) and the Solsonès Blood Donors Association, achieved remarkable participation figures. The event, held at the Sala Polivalent in Solsona, was a clear example of solidarity and civic commitment.
A total of 135 effective blood donations were recorded, four more than in last summer’s campaign. Thanks to this mobilization, nearly 500 patients will benefit from the collected blood components and improve their health.
In August, blood banks are typically low on reserves, making public involvement especially important during a month that usually sees a drop in donations due to summer holidays. The entire event was led by the president of PB Solsona, Jordi Sendarrubias. There were also Barça-themed raffles among the participants.
The organizing entities would like to express their gratitude to everyone who took part, as well as to Bojan Krkic and Dídac Plana for their collaboration in promoting the campaign through social media. Special thanks also go to the Solsona City Council for its support. Once again, Solsona has shown its commitment to life and public health.
